I came across this today and thought I'd share:
The stories of the broken washer, and the father sitting alone with his 6 children at church made me smile. They both made me think of Tom. Tom always wants to help me with chores or projects when he gets home from work, but it's so hard to let him because I know how much the kids and I just want, and need, his company. We don't want him busy with other things. It's also important to me that he gets some down time after a long day at work, and some time to bond with the kids. He's been helping out so much since I've been pregnant, and I'm so thankful for that, but I wish I could offer him that downtime more often. To be completely honest I probably wouldn't have been washing clothes in the sink, I would have just let the dirty clothes pile up until we had nothing to wear. :)
As for the second one... I'll have to admit that one of the nicest things Tom can say to me is "how do you do it?" after he has done something with the kids that I normally do daily or several times a day, and realized how hard of a task it is. Being a mom definitely isn't easy, but to have my husband be so grateful and impressed with what I do makes me proud of myself and my capabilities.
It's funny how these videos about moms always make me so grateful for my husband. He definitely makes me a better person. (Love you Tom!)
